Beneficiaries

The Los Altos Village Association (LAVA) is a 501(c)6 organization created in 1963 to promote and organize community events to ensure the economic vitality of Downtown Los Altos Village.

In 2003 we formed the Village Fund under the Los Altos Community Foundation, which also serves as our 501(c)3 fiscal agent.

Community
The year-round programs produced by the Village Association promote community and businesses in Downtown Los Altos Village, and also provides advocacy and services for preservation of the Village's unique character.

Schools
LAVA sponsors events that benefit Los Altos and surrounding area grade schools, the Mountain View Los Altos High School Foundation, the Los Altos Educational Foundation and other numerous school clubs and programs.

Service
A number of local service groups receive direct or indirect benefit from the annual Festival. Some depend on the high-profile festival to provide funds for their operating budgets while others reap the benefits of participation and exposure.
